The Perth City to Surf for Activ has a rich 39 year history and is WA’s largest community sports event. Run annually on the last Sunday in August, this year’s event is expected to attract over 45,000 participants from around Australia and overseas. The event has a unique festival atmosphere at both the start in Perth City and even more so at the finish at City Beach overlooking the sparkling the Indian Ocean.
The event includes a Marathon, Half Marathon, 12km Run, 12km Walk, 4km Run and Walk and a 4km Wheelchair– so there’s something for any level of fitness. The Marathon and Half Marathon courses are one of the most picturesque in the world - widing along the beautiful Swan River and through WA’s number one tourist attraction, the magnificent Kings Park Botanic Gardens.
The Perth City to Surf for Activ is Australia’s richest road race with over $100,000 in prize money.The event is officially accredited by Athletics Australia and the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF).
